Retrievant today switched on voice agents in eight additional US states: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Phone-based records requests are now available in 42 states, covering roughly 91,000 care sites. API connectors and fax intake were already available nationally.
Voice is the channel that reaches the long tail: small practices, imaging centres and clinics with no portal and no API. Each new state requires more than flipping a switch. Agents are trained on the state's authorisation forms and disclosure rules, telephony numbers are provisioned locally so calls do not look like out-of-state spam, and a retrieval specialist listens to the first hundred calls in every new state before the agent runs unsupervised.
In the eight new states, the first-attempt success rate during supervised rollout was 84%, in line with the platform average. The remaining eight states, mostly in the mountain west and Alaska and Hawaii, are scheduled for the first half of 2027 as telephony partners come online.
Customers do not need to change anything. Retrievals for patients treated in the new states will automatically route to voice where the planner judges it the fastest path. Coverage by state is published on the status page and updated as regions go live.
