The hosted consent flow, the single screen a patient sees before any retrieval begins, is now available in English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch. Language is detected from the patient's browser and can be switched with one tap.
Translation for a consent screen is not a matter of running the text through a service. Each version was reviewed by a health lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction to ensure the wording satisfies local requirements for informed authorisation, and then tested with patients for plain-language comprehension. The German version, for example, went through four rounds before testers could correctly explain what they were agreeing to without prompting.
The redesign that accompanied the new languages is mobile-first, because 78% of patients open the consent link on a phone. Completion rate across all languages is 81%, up from 69% on the previous desktop-oriented design.
Customers can brand the flow with their own logo, colours and domain. Retrievant remains named as the processor on every version, as the law requires. Portuguese and Italian are in review and expected later this year.
