It's your record. You hold the keys.

If an organisation has asked Retrievant to retrieve your medical history, this page explains what that means, what you can control, and how to stop it at any time.

Your rights

Six things you can always do.

01

Choose what to share

Pick record types, date ranges and specific providers. Leave anything out. The organisation only receives what you tick.

02

See every retrieval

Your dashboard lists every provider we contacted on your behalf, how, when, and what came back.

03

Revoke in one click

Withdraw consent at any time. Agents stop immediately and the organisation is told to delete what it received.

04

Get your own copy

Download the assembled record yourself, as a PDF or FHIR bundle. It's your data; you should have it too.

05

Correct mistakes

Spot a wrong date or a record that isn't yours? Flag it. We re-check with the source and notify the recipient.

06

Be told when AI is involved

Our agents identify themselves as automated on every call. You can request the transcript of any conversation about you.

Questions

Common questions from patients.

Why did I get a consent link from Retrievant?

An organisation you're working with, such as a law firm, insurer, clinic or health app, asked us to gather your medical history on your behalf. Nothing happens until you read the request and sign it. If you don't recognise the organisation, don't sign, and let us know.

Will you contact my doctors directly?

Yes, that's the point. We contact each provider you authorised, by API, portal, phone or fax, present your signed authorisation, and request your records. Providers see exactly who is asking and why.

What if I revoke after the record was delivered?

We delete our copy within 24 hours and notify the organisation, which is contractually required to delete theirs within 30 days. Some organisations may be legally obliged to retain records they've already relied upon (e.g. in litigation); they'll tell you if so.

Does Retrievant keep my medical records?

Only for 30 days after delivery, so you and the organisation can download them. Then they're deleted. We keep the consent record and an audit log (with medical content removed) for seven years, as the law requires.

How do I contact a human?

Email patients@retrievant.example. A person, not an agent, replies within one business day.
